For some reason, the TV here was on and "Hardball" came on. I don't even APPROVE of this jerk, Matthews and never watch the show. It's a joke, and he's a jerk.

But, his guest is Biden, and I have to say, I've yet to hear anything dumber than his first question to Biden: "If you were President, how would you handle the Iranian matter?" (I paraphrase.)

What an utterly colossal useless exchange between two impaired egomaniacs. I'd really learn more by watching a blank white wall.

Biden pretty much scorched rummy's and cheney's asses.

on the Let's Gangbang The White House game, and I don't find that terribly heroic or impressive.

They're both duds.

When asked if W will meet with Iran's leader, Biden said - no, because he's a crazy man. Did he mean W?

He said something similar on the Bill Mahr show last week....

"Will the Iranian leader deign to meet with the Fuckface Squatter In The Oval Office?"

I daresay the Head Mullah would have had a good laugh at that one.

"Yeah, me meet with that deranged infidel. HA!"

..... in fact, for pure oratory style, he's one of the best.

that most of the Iranian population consists of 18-25 year olds and are pro Western culture etc....and they are not that supportive of the religious Mullahs...

however; if the US attacks Iran those 18-25 year olds will unite and support their leadership and turn into one hell of a fighting million man and woman army....they will turn into anti-western fighters....

People who haven't fried their brain cells on alcohol and/or drugs are staying away from those conservative circle jerks in greater numbers every day. The format of frothing conservatives versus tepid DLC Democrats has gotten old and stale and even conservative true believers who are looking for validation of wretchedly bad ideas are getting tied of it all.

The format serves the ruling class, though, so don't look for a change in the foreseeable future.

...realize that there's a "Biden For President" factor right HERE, on DU...I actually posted a response in a "Biden for President?" thread about a week ago. Reminded the O.P. of Biden voting for the bankruptcy bill. Reminded the O.P. of Biden's little soft-shoe dance with Condi Rice during her confirmation hearings ("I want you to know that I am going to vote for you, but first I must admonish you"). I reminded the O.P. that Biden loves to speak in vague metaphors and seems genuinely in love with the sound of his own voice (anyone remember his "You and I seem to be engaged in an intricate Kabuki dance" bullshit from the Roberts hearings?"

The end result? The O.P. still wanted Biden for President in '08 and said that he had "lesser sins than George W. Bush."

SO...O.L.L...when the 2008 Democratic Party nominations for President are final, and Biden's NOT on the list, then you'll hear the end of MOST of the "Biden for President" chatter.

Not ALL of it...when the field of candidates has been narrowed down and DOES NOT include Joe Biden, I GUARANTEE that SOMEONE will post a thread lamenting the fact that Joe Biden WILL NOT BE our President in 2008.

In the meantime, I feel your pain, and wonder what life must be like for Joe Biden to spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year with his head lodged tightly in his own sphincter.
