It would only take 30 Republicans of Concience to Impeach Bush

If only 13% of the Republican caucus would put love of country above love of Party we could Impeach the criminal.

Next time you hear someone bitch that the Democrats should do something about Bush, ask why not 1 Republican in the House has brought up the notion of impeaching the president for his many crimes?

Republican - conscience?

I know Kay Bailey Hutchison gave up representing the people as soon as she could get her nose into Bush's nether regions. I think she gave up being a woman too.

Not even the ones that vote with us some of the time. The rest of the time they vote with this administration, and that makes them forever without conscience, honor, or humanity, as far as I'm concerned. They help the administration disable on the Constitution. Every one of then is against everything real Democrats stand for. The worst of them want our obliteration, and the rest are aiding and abetting in the death of our country and our rights as we know them.

If any of them were to vote for Impeachment, it would be for their own political gain or survival and nothing more.

There are no "good" Republicans... affirm that and own it.

Edited to add: And I say this with a son who is a Republican. He knows how I feel about his support for that Party, and in his defense he did support Wes Clark in the last Primaries. We have some very interesting family gatherings, I can tell you.... The last Primaries was the only time my entire family, from the Greens to the Democrats, to the lone Republican all supported the same candidate.

That having been said, I still say there are no "Republicans of Conscience". None.

This situation is a bit more complicated at the moment. They have to get rid of Agnew/Cheney first.

There's no morality required. Just selfish power-mania.

If they thought the DC Dems might actually DO something, the bushkid would be out before the midterms. (Yes, really.)

And if you are trying to help the Repubs see the wisdom of acting, remind them that approving this urinary authoritarian executive fiat the bushkid claims gives the exact same powers to a President Hillary or Boxer or Dean.

The House Repugs are lock-step with the WH.

If ChimpCo were impeached, we might do a little bit better in the Senate, presuming that the case was strong for impeachment. There, we might gain a few moderates, maybe even enough to convict. But the House is the real problem.

Above all, we need to take back the House. Not just for impeachment, but to restore balance to government. The Senate, where there is a history of commity and bipartisanship, can take care of itself. If we take back just one side of Congress, it had better be the House, where power has not been shared for years.

I already know why Republicans and the media they own dont fight him- I dont need to ask anyone that question.

Because last time I hear they didn't have enough votes to get anything done without support for Republicans.

If we want the Democrats to fight Bush, we need to elect enough of them that there is a chance of them doing so successfully.

Even if Bush is impeached, I'd be hard-pressed to find even 6 Republicans with a conscience, much less 22, in the Senate. Most of those repukes are in bed with the Bush regime, so they'll most likely goosestep to Bushco's drumbeat, look the other way, and keep the criminals in office.

They don't seem to be all that willing either!

218 votes is required in the House. If all 202 Democrats voted with Sanders and 15 of the Republicans crossed over, that would be 218.

they would impeach the criminal and evil bush - but they won't and that tells us what their true loyalties are.

if there was ever a true case for impeachment resulting from high crimes, bush is it.
