Rice will finally sit in front of a judge and jury.

Almost 100 years ago, the US established a law prohibiting the transference of sensitive and confidential information during a time of war.

Now, the law is being used again to prosecute individuals for leaking information. Only this time, for the first time, lobbyists are being charged as well as government officials.

In the case of two of the defendants currently being charged, the defense has made a claim that the individuals were given the information by Rice, who should not have told them any secret or confidential information.

Their argument compelled the judge to issue subpoenas to Rice and others so the court can hear what really happened.

Finally, we get to see the National Security Adviser that took us to war with Iraq in front of a judge and jury. The judge is considering dismissing every case before him being charged under this statute in deference to free speech rights, claiming the law is vague.

This issue goes to the heart of all the woes of the Bush Administration. Like the Libby case, these individuals are exposing very serious leaks of classified information.

Besides, I'm ready for Rice to come home and start facing some of the music for her little "mushroom cloud" statement.

AIPAC doesn't want anyone to think that, because they're all good loyal Americans, but that's the reason why the charges were laid. AIPAC's gonna squeal to high heaven that this is unjust. And, how would I know it isn't? Maybe Rice really did do the same stuff. To a lobbyist. For the purpose of transferring the information to a foreign power. So we'll see.
