Can't we have them expelled or something? Is Joementum their leader? Is Zell their enforcer?

They play Dems in the polls or on the internet to mislead, like Zell Miller and Toby Keith.

10. Naw, they're the idiots who were guilted into registering by
a spouse or parent but who really don't keep up with current events. That approval rating can be translated as "Gee! I know that name! I approve of knowing that name! I'm so great!"

They may also be the dolts like this:

Who did you vote for?

I voted for Bush.

Why did you vote for him?

I dunno, I just did.

Some people are going to insist on being dead between the ears and there's nothing we can do about it. It's why incumbents always enjoy an advantage, because dolts recognize the name and go "Whee! I know that guy!"

All we can do is hope we outnumber them. We usually do.

15. Here's one from a letter to the editor in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Sick of Bush bashing

As a lifelong Democrat, I am tired of reading all the anti-Bush letters the Post-Gazette prints. A case in point is <I removed person's name>'s April 11 letter, "Blood on His Hands." He states, "I thought the most embarrassing moment of his presidency was the seven minutes of inaction on 9/11 when he was told the United States was under attack."

Any astute observer -- that leaves out most Democrats -- knows what went on in those seven minutes.

Mr. Bush, our president, was demonstrating savoir-faire and, more to the point, sang-froid -- calmness amid trying circumstances, coolness, composure, self-possession, imperturbability. He did not panic.

<I removed person's name>'s last paragraph states, "George W. Bush must accept the fact that he has the blood of more than 2,300 young American soldiers on his hands." But he overlooks the fact that ex-president Bill Clinton has the blood of almost 3,000 9/11 victims on his hands.

(I removed the person's name)
Monaca

If I didn't know better, I'd say that it was a Freeper pretending to be a Democrat. However, I met many "Democrats" like him while working on the Kerry/Edward campaign. I really wish that they'd just switch parties and get it over with, because, if they haven't awakened by now, there's no hope that they're ever going to vote Democratic in the future, in my opinion, regardless of their official party affilliation.

voted in 2004 but not in 2000 to give bush his additional 12 million votes over
his 2000 total.

You be lucky to find 11% of Repugs if they answered honestly that think bush
is doing a good job.

They rarely vote for Democrats anymore, but They don't chang their registration. Here in N.C. they wouldn't vote for Kerry or Bowles, but they voted for Easley. I learned about them while phone banking during the election.

29. A lot of those in our area (NE Ohio)
Retired union workers, predominantly Catholic. They'll probably start singing a different tune when they begin to lose their pension benefits and health care. Many are members of the "I've got mine so screw you" school of thought.

Otherwise, they tend to be somewhat racist and sexist. Time and again you'll drive through their neighborhoods and see yard signs for the local Dem mayor, but Repub signs for state and federal candidates.

People who feel obligated to support "the president" no matter who he may be, in a time of war.

or

People who feel some Vietnam guilt and transfer supporting troops to unconditional support of the president.

34. I'm sure many of them are DU contributors
If we're talking about polls, the pollsters just ask people to ID their party affiliation rather than prove it in any way.

So, some people just lie, because they think they're accomplishing some useful deception in that way. Just like on , ummm, a certain internet discussion forum which I could mention.
