The TV Stations could not believe it - or maybe they could? Not only did a heckler get through and claimed free speech, so valid in a Democracy, but when they greeted Pres. Hu, the White House played the Taiwanese anthem rather than Mainland China anthem; also Bush greeted him with the Taiwanese title.

when it was first anounced that Hu was visiting, smirk was going to dine him across the street at the Madison House. wonder why they changed to a room in the W.H.?

Subject: Bush Apologizes To Hu

As an indication of how far we have dropped in world prominence, President Bush, a man who has never apologized in his life, no matter how bad his transgression, apologized for an individual exercising freedom of speech.

We are in a world of hurt, and the President is apologizing to the Chinese leader, who if he was in China, would have had the offender hung from the nearest flag pole.
