Poll question: If Santos picks Vinick as his VP, how will you feel about that?
Edited on Sun Apr-23-06 04:48 PM by Gloria
I was watering my flowers this morning when the thought occurred to me that Santos might pick Vinick as his VP, considering the promo I saw...

How would you react if this happens?

1. I'm not going to be trembling with rage or anything.
It will just prove that this show is, well, fiction. This would never happen in the real life politics of today.

2. I hope he chooses Supreme Court Justice Glenn Close.
That is, the character she played. Wasn't she nominated and then confirmed for the Supreme Court in one episode a while back?

I'm for her.

16. No way - she became captain on The Shield and was then transferred...
Please don't toy with my fragile sense of TV reality...

4. I had that thought too, but
if it goes that way, Vinick will decline because the character is a decent guy but is disillusioned with his party after the campaign.

Or theory #2, Santos makes the offer, Vinick invites him to his country estate for some quail hunting...

7. Vinick is going to be Sec'y of State.
The promo at the end of tonight's episode is misleading. Next week we learn he asks Vinick to be SoS and (I'm pretty sure) Baker to be VP.

11. There's nothing about this week's episode in the message.
...well, except for a warning that the promo for next week is misleading.

12. That would be it.
That reference to the new Vinick job, ya know...

I'm just having fun with you. I'm on the West Coast but I don't really care if I learn about a TV plot ahead of viewing.
;-)

17. I was thinking that too! CJ would make a GREAT VP!
She's smart, knows the territory very well, and would be a BIG help to a new President!

13. am a West Coaster....
can I just say that as an early West Wing enthusiast
and who dropped away when Bush was selected, Lawrence
O'Donnell isn't my favorite writer/producer or even
guest on KO. This writing choice sucks. This is a
chance in our dreams to pick a fantastic woman, or
person of color.

15. folks, its a tv show
I'm not going to break a sweat either way. If it happens, I'll view it as a "Commander in Chief" moment for WW -- meaning that they opted for cheap dramatic license over reality based narrative, but that's about it.

18. Awe man! There's only 3? more episodes left!
Give us a break here. I know I've been watching it faithfully since the first show! Yea, I know it's only a TV show, but it's one part of my fantacy world I enjoyed once a week! It's going away! Let me get upset for 5 minutes if I want to. ;O)
