Grossly incompetent Secretary of State seeks promotion
Ken Blackwell, ideologically, is about the last person I would want to see in a high level government position. Ethically, in his oversight of the 2004 election and in his response (or lack thereof) to complaints about voter disenfranchisement, he gets low marks as well. But now in addition to these known shortcomings, we have a growing body of evidence pointing to Blackwell's gross incompetence. He has *for the second time* "accidentally" released many Ohioans' Social Security numbers. Wow. I'd never have the chutzpah to ask for a promotion with that kind of track record, but Ken Blackwell, the Ohio Secretary of State who is running for governor, is doing just that.

1. Here's hoping that a Mr. Strickland hands Mr. Blackwell his butt on
November 7th.

3. I'd prefer that happen in a few days
by Mr. Petro, the Republican primary opponent, so I don't end up a nervous wreck in November.

Petro is far less scary than Blackwell (although I have a strong preference for Strickland over either one).

4. I hear you, Ms. Toad. I'll just say that the sooner Kenneth Blackwell
can be dispensed with at the polls, the better.

5. What about the lawsuit?
I had heard Blackwell has the memory sticks for the machines to be used in his own run for Gov in his office. He's been implicated in rigging elections before and this looks really bad.

6. Blackwell
If anyone watched NOW on PBS on 28 APR 2006 they saw this guy being presented the same award by the same rightwing clergy Named Pastor Russell Johnson. if he is a christian I am the pope. This guy runs one of these mega churches and uses the monies collected to support blackwell. but obviously he is to cheap to buy more than one award to give to him. Blackwell must have to give it back ROFLMAO
