Thom Hartmann is on Fire Today!
No joke, Thom is politely but expediently handing an RW Libertarian his a** right now.

They just went to break, but if you can catch him in a few minutes.

I'm in awe. I've seen him dispatch Right Wingers before, but today, IMO, Thom's in rare, and excellent form.

1. Is this the chitchat about nationalizing oil in South American countries?
I heard him last night subbbing for Randi Rhodes and he kicked some serious ass. The other lad from CNS was a run of the mill right wing dumbass who must have had his talking points on 3X5 cards.

4. No It's about Asbestos litigation ...
I think he's even more "locked on" well read because he mentioned that his Father was dying from lung cancer caused by Asbestos.

He is really really good, right now. Obviously because he cares passionately about this topic.

2. it's Yuron Brook from Ayn Rand
Edited on Thu May-04-06 11:37 AM by GregD
on edit - he worked 3 shifts yesterday, so he's probably a bit grumpy. He did his normal pair of 3-hour shows and then sat in for Randi's 4-hour show.

5. Hey, I like it when he's grumpy :-)
I know that he may be disappointed because he really is a classy and polite kind of guy. But I'm sure enjoying this beyond my usual reason for listening - he's an excellent educator. :-)

7. He kicked a CNS yahoos ass last night
on Randi's show. It was a knockout. Subj: Nationalizing energy industry in South America. The NCS guy was poster boy for right wing shouters. All he could do was read one talking point after the other and offering what if scenarios, tom was swatting them over the fence

.... for about 20 minutes. I love Thom Hartmann, I listen whenever I get the chance. I don't know why he bothers with this libertarian douchebag, these folks are all alike, they don't understand human beings at all, they range from idiots to idiot savants.

9. Yes, I wouldn't have near the patience and tolerance that it takes ...
I guess that's why I enjoy low-key intelligent folks who can still stand firm. In my next life I'm gonna ask my higher power to provide me with such smarts and personality. Thanks for responding. :hi:

10. Hehe..
... patience is not my strong suit either. But, if it weren't for my kids, I wouldn't care at all - adults like that guy don't deserve patience :)

But now is Lynn and frankly I'm not sure she is helping us at all :( Tonight, Stephanie will be on and she ROCKS! :)
