Was McGovern removed after questioning Rummy?
If so, I'm outraged. I believe its ok to remove hecklers because they are being disruptive, HOWEVER under no cirmcumstances should they have attempted to remove McGovern (as we know they did, because Rummy asked them to let him stay) and if they removed him after his questions that is just plain sickening. What we have come to as a country when we removed people for asking tough questions?

Can some one please find out what happened to McGovern after his questions? Was he allowed to stay or was he forced to leave?

4. Good, I was outraged that they tried to move him. . .
. . .its a shame that Rummy, of all people, had to encourage them to leave him.

Jeeze

19.  Same here. He was asking a question; not ranting and raving.
When Skelatar went on about how Saddam used chemicals against Iran and the Kurds I wanted to be in Ray's shoes and say...but you knew that and let it happen because the USA sold those to Iraq and you even shook hands with Saddam.

It's a tragic day in our nation of free speech when you can't even ask a simple question without being hauled out like a crook. This is a true sign of a country being run by cowards and morally courpt souls. Souls...I think they haven't one.

2. I believe they let him stay
as he had already called Rummy on his lies.
Dissent is beautiful.

5. I just looked at the video and he stayed. The questioner after
him was commenting about Rummy's wonderful view of life and how he's so positive.

6. Today on NBC TODAY his question that showed Rummy to be a liar was
removed - they edited to Rummy's answer/denial to the set up question of why did you lie - they did not show the McGovern response that pointed out the exact words that were a Rummy lie.

13. I loath our "Pravda on the Potomac" Corporate Press ...
If they had any integrity, they'd be ashamed of themselves. Unfortunately, sycophants lie to themselves so they can actually believe that their TREASON is patriotic. SLIME, all these * enablers. We can't prosecute The Press, but if we are ever able to get Our Country Back from these wannabe fascists, we should clean house of all these disgusting men and women who feign to be members of Our Free (vice bought and paid for) Press.

7. McGovern stayed for the rest of the speech
At least that is the story on KO's last night. What I did noticed was the two women who were man-handled by the crowd when they unfurled their banners. Both had the banners ripped out of their hands and one was grabbed by a member of the audience and then had her arm twisted behind her back as she was lead from the room by security. (If I were her, I'd get a copy of the tape and have that one audience member sued for assault.)

There was one other, a guy, that stood and turned his back on Rummy. He, as far as I know, was not bothered.

14. THAT GUY, our * news model cheerleader, Kyra Phillips, aptly pointed out
Edited on Fri May-05-06 08:41 AM by ShortnFiery
was ONE ANGRY SECURITY PERSON. She then commented that these days there's always anti-war protesters interrupting Saint Rummy's propaganda sessions. :puke:

18. Correction!
Edited on Fri May-05-06 11:15 AM by ShortnFiery
I just noted through watching CNN International this Noon hour, that the poster I responded to was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT - this guy with his back to Rummy was a Protester.

However, I kid you not = when I saw this yesterday on plain ole, plain ole CNN, Kyra Phillips labeled him to be an "Angry Security Person."

Sorry. I feel as if we may need wings to rise above all the lies and distortions.

8. I met Ray McGovern...
last month when he spoke at a local college. He is truly a gentle man - very calm, very intelligent, very dignified, very respectful. You can even hear those characteristics in his voice. Even the way he posed his question is a testament to his character: he didn't raise his voice, he didn't get belligerent or petulant like Rumsfeld & his buddies in the regime do...

9. Ray McGovern was on Tucker Carlson last night...
...under the heading of "heckler". The first thing he said was that he was not a heckler and asked Carlson to take it back...which he didn't. Carlson slammed him with stupid questions in his annoying way, but McGovern had a "bullet proof" answer to every question that left Carlson with no come back. At the end Carlson looked flustered and McGovern looked confident.

10. Fucker Carlson is an A-hole supreme...
...why that POS has his own show is truly a testament to the vast wasteland known as television.

15. Tucker Carlson still on TV?
He might as well not be, since his show is in same time slot as Real News - The Daily Show.

12. Pity no one watches that lousy show
Olbermann ran the full exchange, with a pause for clarification to show the viewers the full quotes that McGovern was referencing. It was a very strong piece.

17. It appeared to me that McGovern was standing
at a microphone set up for a question and answer session. It seemedto me that McGovern was formally asking questions, not heckling from the seats! That's how media people like xucker Carlson warp the facts to mislead the public. What struck me most was the diversity of age among the 5 people who were protesting not as a group but solely as individuals......an elderly man and woman, a middle aged man and woman, and a young fella.

11. No. I'm desperately seeking video of him being manhandled...
it's out there, and you could hear him say "This is America." after Rummy tells the goon to let him stay.

21. When I heard that last night on Olbermann,
I was glad to hear someone finally ask a question like that. Sad that I have to get my news from a sportscaster and comedians, though.

20. What pisses me off is, that Ray McGovern is not being called "Ex-Cia Intel
...Analyst, but "heckler", and "anti-war protester" even NOW on
CNN and other stations! Okay...so--just now--CNN finally calls him a 27 year veteran of the CIA...

I guess, to address Ray McGovern as a 27 year veteran of the CIA would give him much too much credibility in his discussion with Rummy that made the latter look uninformed, uncomfortable and less "formidable" than corporate owned media, and the idiot members of the "32 Percent Club" would prefer.

And I also guess, to counter Ray McGovern's correct statement that he (Rumsfeld) had said--publicly!--that "they KNEW where Hussein had WMD" with "Al Zarqawi" <sp?> being in Iraq was too much of a stretch for the Bush-Media to report on?

It took Keith Olbermann to point this tiny "changing of the subject" by Rummy, but he was also the ONLY one to!

What "liberal media bias"?
