Spinning limbaugh's involvement with the law
Conwebwatch has a nice synopsis of how those who don't dwell in the truth describe limbaugh's "arrest."

http://conwebwatch.tripod.com/stories/2006/rush06.html

"In predictably rushing to rush's defense yet again, the conweb has demonstrated that it has nothing to say."

And yet the lemmings will be repeating the points over and over and over again while bowing in homage to their sources of "information." Did you know that Sudan offered BinLaden to Clinton "on a silver platter?"

1. Another thing has just occured to me...
Not only was this "plea bargain" a fraud because Limbaugh did not have to pled guilty to anything, but it is clear from the arguments about the use of the word "arrested", that Limbaugh had not even been charged at the point the bargain was made.

That in itself stinks to high heaven! What other person in America could "plea bargain" before charges are filed against them? He did not bargain for a lighter sentence, he bargained (in fact bribed) away all the consequences of his crime, from arrest to trial to punishment. He didnt even have to admit any kind of guilt, not even illegal possesion of a controlled substance.

The guy not only got off the charges scot free, he actually got off even being charged the way any other person would be. Did the prosecution even release a statment in regards to the deal, or was it all Limbaugh spin? Could any other person basically gag the prosecutor? Well this is all I could find:

Mike Edmondson, spokesman for the state attorney’s office, said prosecutors had not yet received the signed agreement.

“I am not disputing the facts, the conditions that Black represented, but until his client signed the agreement, we don’t have a full agreement,” Edmondson said. “I am sure it’s just a timeline issue.”

He refused to comment further.

So no explanation of why the prosecutor granted pretrial diversion, or why the prosecutor negotiated the deal before even CHARGING Limbaugh.

4. There is a silver lining
It actually isn't unusual for a first-time drug offender to get probation, though the terms of this deal really are too sweet.

He does have to keep his nose clean, or he will violate the agreement. Addicts have a hard time doing that. Next time he goes doctor-shopping, it will be noticed, and it will be go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 oxycontin. I'm hoping that this deal heightens his sense of invulnerability so that he gets careless and gets caught again.
