9. Very nicely done.
He drew the teeth of the scandal, and managed to come across as courageous and dedicated.

12. Would they not look like total assholes even if they don't?
And by the way you obviously are prescient.

14. Heh, heh
If the GOP tries to paint this as a "Kennedy badboy" situation, instead of a medical matter, they'll look like meanspirited shitheels. Hey, Rush walked, Noelle Bush walked, and what is good for the GOP goose is good for the Democratic goose as well....

And now, he becomes the poster boy for recovery!

11. No he said he's troubled by his reaction to the prescription he
was given for the stomach flu. He doesn't remember ANYTHING about last night. Not getting out of bed, driving the car, hitting anything, or being stopped by the cops.

18. Oh, I didn't mean he should have, it was just a question the idiot
on CNN had asked before the press conference. She wondered IF he would resign. Sorry, I guess I should have posted that too.

19. Hell, they only work 79 days out of the year
He can handle it easily, what with the recesses and breaks. He was at MAYO during the winter recess last year. He also went to rehab as a kid, for coke.

I'm glad he's doing it. The tough part will be staying on track. With any luck, Ted can give him a hand...or maybe Victoria can. She's done a great job with Ted!

5. The Daily News in NY was trying to make this about Edward Kennedy
The front page doesnt even say Patrick. Here is today's front page.

"Ted Kennedy's Senator"? Didnt know Teddie had his own state.

Get well Patrick. If Limpballs wasnt such a coward he would be there with you.

22. Thats a joke. Their editorials are as far right as the Post
They defended the NSA spying program with that lame story about it supposedly thwarting a terrorist from blowing up the Brooklyn Bridge. And Charles Krauthammer every Friday. Give me the Sports section and thats it. I dont even read the first half of the paper anymore.

13. KUDOS to getting this off the front page--now it's about addiction, and
a medical condition, and not about a bad boy getting away with anything.

Whaddaya wanna bet he came to this deal with the Capitol Police supervisor's input? The CP like him, he's nice to them....

16. Hell, the world is ON ITs HEAD--Joe SCARBOROUGH is on MSNBC
PRAISING HIM TO THE SKIES....saying how nice he is, a good guy, takes care of his mom, who has serious problems...
Joey just said:
The more I think about it, he was treated differently...he MAY HAVE BEEN HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD. I would suspect that other members of Congress had done MUCH WORSE....
