1. But
How will the good Senator vote when the time comes? Will he be a man of integrity? Or will he just rubber stamp another bill for BushCo?

The closer we get to November midterm elections, any Repub running for reelection will try to separate themselves from BUSHCO.

5. True
And if they should retain control of Congress, they will continue to do what they're doing now, rubber stamping everything that BushCo wants.

Very few Repubs in Congress can be trusted to keep their word, and I don't even trust the ones who now say that they were wrong!!!!!

3. What a mess!! If Democrats take back either or both
it's going to be a terribly rough and bumpy ride. Cons will be screaming about the budget, overspending, deficits, taxes, blah blah blah standard and roadblock everything Democrats try to do. Bush will sabotage everything and blame Democrats.

Meanwhile, all of us average shlubs trying to live the American dream in peace and prosperity pay the price.

What a shitty deal all around.

4. That's why you need investigations to establish blame...
So that he pain that comes with fixing these problems is clearly assigned to the greedy corrupt Republicans who will undoubtedly try to shift the blame.
