1. I thought he was supposed to be indicted last Friday...

The sooner the better, AFAIC.

2. They are saying probably two weeks. I just can't wait for the announcement
to come across the wire. dubya's shoulders will get even tighter and his head will hang even lower and he will look even more chimpanzee-like than he already does (my apologies to chimps everywhere). It'll be a great day for the constitution and the country and I am fairly certain that dubya will lose his last marble once Rove is indicted. I can't wait!

I just hope Fitzy doesn't drag this out all summer.. I'd like to see that slug removed from his duties immediately if not sooner!

6. Well, I wouldn't fly into a rage if it happened. But it hasn't happened
just yet, so I'm going to let Patrick Fitzgerald do his thing.

The Fitzgerald team looks pretty capable to me.

7. Much as I would like to see Rove tried for his many crimes, think about
this for a minute. If Rove is indicted on perjury and obstruction, like Libby was, it means that both Rove and Libby are HAMPERING the investigation. It means that Fitzgerald has NOT convinced them to cooperate--not yet anyway.

Fitzgerald made this very clear in his press conference on Libby--that this investigation is a grave matter of national security, and that the Bushites are throwing dust in his eyes. They are COVERING UP. They are--no doubt--fall guys for their bosses, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, and likely for the entire White House Iraq Group (--a large group of top Bushites--secret at the time--charged with "selling" the Iraq war).

So, would you rather see Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld indicted for treason--or Rove indicted for perjury?

I know, I know, Rove is so awful--the "brain" behind the most astonishing series of lies ever to be swallowed by corporate news monopolies--that it will be a joy to see him indicted ON ANYTHING. And there is little doubt that he has lied through his teeth on this one--the White House outing and endangerment of many U.S. covert counter-proliferation agents and contacts (not just Valerie Plame).

But he did not and could not have initiated this act of treason. Nor could Libby. It came right from the top. And THAT is what Libby and Rove are sitting on.

I hope to God that, if he is indicted, he finally tells the truth--even just to save his own skin. Libby, also. It's NOT GOOD that they are committing perjury and obstruction. This is a grave matter of national security. And what that means to ME is that the TOP level of our government has no concern for our safety. They destroyed a COUNTER-PROLIFERATION network--for political reasons, and probably to cover up other crimes! Think about it.
