Something to be happy about, Damnit!
MSNBC.com reporting on recent polling and Rove's strategy for 2006...

Right now, an impressive 55 percent of voters say they have a favorable view of the Democrats, one of the party’s best ratings in years.

Sure it's been a rough few years, but just for one moment, let's rejoice. We are making progress! Be happy, even if it is just for a minute!

WOO HOO!

2. That's actually better because it's being repeated on MSNBC!
I didn't check the link, so I don't know if it was their own poll, or someone elses, but it's very good to hear!

3. It was someone else's (a real poll)....
But they go on to criticize the democrats. That was the purpose of this post. Let's look at the positive, even if it is for just a minute.

4. This really is excellent news!
We've known for a while that Republican approval ratings were down, and dissapproval ratings up. But the question has been, will people be willing to vote for Dems? Sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't (and therefore fear more). It's not logical, especially when the Repubs have been fucking up as badly as they have, but it is usually true. And knowing this, the Repubs are trying very hard to scare Americans into thinking a Pelosi-run House and/or Reid-run Senate is something to fear.

We're not home yet, not by a long shot. But 55% favorability for Dems in general is definitely a move in the right direction! :woohoo:

Now, if only you would tell us these were registered voters being polled, and not just people off the street.... please?
