1. My understanding is that in Maine
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 07:41 PM by WWW
Greens and Republicans had to go to the town office two weeks ago to change parties in order to vote in the Democratic caucus. Does anyone know differently? I know we had two Greens and two Republicans enroll as Democrats last week. Town of 4000.

Edit: Sorry I meant caucus...too much CNN in the background.

6. You're correct
Anyone enrolled in a party had until Jan 23 to "unenroll" and become Democrats.

Anyone not registered or not enrolled in any party may register/enroll the day of the caucus.

2. When is Maine voting?
Primary or caucus state?

Could be good territory for DK. Lots of Greens, peace and anti-nuke activists up there.

And remember, it's not about electability, it's about who has the best press secretary!! :-)

3. DEnnis should be a favorite there
A win in Maine will definitely help the campaign.

7. In my corner of the state I have heard nothing from his campaign
The only calls I've received have been for Kerry. But statewide there's a grassroots effort out there for DK. And Dean as well. With the SEIU endorsement Dean has a lot of the state employees on his side.

I really don't know how it'll go. I haven't seen one poll.
