Beware MSM Polls About NSA Domestic Spying (like ABC's) Because...
Edited on Fri May-12-06 12:54 PM by McCamy Taylor
...a simple search for any combo of a network news name such as ABC (or a subsidiary, such as Disney) plus one of the offending telephone providers such as AT&T will provide many links to stories about possible acquistions, mergers as well as ongoing advertising partnerships.

Remember, we are talking massive media giants and massive media giants, and all the massive media giants dream of getting together to form the one and only mega-collasal media giant. So some of them are gonna cover each others backs. The last thing they want is for AT&T and Verizon stock to plummet and Qwest stock to rise (which is what could happen if this story gets wings and a whole lot of people switch providers). The really last thing they want to happen is a couple of massive class action lawsuits against AT&T and Verizon which could make it impossible for either company to participate in corporate mergers, because of the liability risk, for the next three to four years.

Countdown was not covering for anyone last night. GE/NBC still gets its money from manufacturing. Watch Keith.

1. Unfortunately, GE is a major defense contractor.
So much so, I even swore off all GE-branded products and sent them an e-mail saying so.

I know, they make so many parts and things and have so many aquisitions I can't suppose to keep up...but I can make a statement.

3. Cables and Networks don't want to lose all that Telecom advertising
either. Their revenues are already down because of their crappy program and they don't want to be stuck "Joe's Used Cars" ads.
