Blue Meme: "Nixon knew he couldn't govern when his numbers sank this low"

Washington Wire » Bush’s Approval Rating Drops

President Bush’s job-approval rating has fallen to its lowest mark of his presidency, according to a new Harris Interactive poll. Of 1,003 U.S. adults surveyed in a telephone poll, 29% think Mr. Bush is doing an “excellent or pretty good” job as president, down from 35% in April and significantly lower than 43% in January.

This is one of the strange alternative-universe moments in which Bush's world-class stupidity seems to work in his favor. Nixon knew he couldn't govern when his numbers sank this low. But this bumblebee is too damned thick to realize that he is incapable of flying. And so fly he does -- south.

1. Yeah but, to be fair,...
...Bush couldn't govern even when his polls were 80%, so he probably thinks it's all the same difference.

6. He's a few fries short of a happy meal
I'm not sure if he realizes what a dire situtaion he's in.

He probably thinks this will all go away with each passing photo-op.

3. But Nixon actually had a brain to think with, and he used it, sometimes.
Shrub, if he has one, doesn't use it at all!

4. Not sure if Nixon really knew that
As I remember, it took a delegation of GOP Congressional heavyweights paying Tricky Dick a social call at 1600 before he got the message.

Maybe Hastert, Frist, McCain et al need to toddle over to the WH with a box of donuts and the bad news for the Dictator-Tot.

I can dream, can't I?

8. I believe that Bush will need to enter the teens...
...as long as he's in the 20s, he's STILL gonna see it as a "mandate."

Although a KARL ROVE INDICTMENT could do WONDERS for Bush's level of SELF-AWARENESS...

12. It's not MY God...
...while Bush doesn't actually SAY that he "accepted Christ as his personal savior" at the hands of Billy Graham, people BELIEVE that...EVEN THOUGH Graham has DENIED it...but Bush NEVER corrects them.

In reality, he met some dickwad revival tent "preacher" in the coffee shop of a Texas Holiday Inn. THAT'S where it happened. This "preacher" was famous for carting around a life-sized Jesus statue from circus tent to circus tent...think Steve Martin's movie "Leap Of Faith."

George W. Bush's "God" IS NOT MY GOD.
