Poll: Plurality of Americans want Democrat in Whitehouse in 2008
Edited on Sun May-14-06 07:16 AM by wyldwolf
In a Newsweek poll dated today, 50% of Americans want a Democrat to win the Presidency in 2008, with 31% choosing a Republican, 17% up for grabs, and 2% desiring a third party.

I'm assuming the 31% who want a Republican to lead the free world again in 2008 are the same cave dwellers who still believe George w. Bush is a god.

The 17% are independents and alienated Republicans, and the two percenters are a combination of third party left and right leaning voters, perhaps Greens and Libertarians.

Of course, the "Democrat" in question is still unknown (and for that matter, so is the Republican.) A likely GOP candidate, John McCain, is still outpolling both Hillary Clinton and John Kerry in other recent polls.
