Why is Fitz sitting on the Rove indictment? (Is it Cheney???)
MSM won't touch this story until an official source is willing to go on record or until Fitz hands up the indictment and KKKarl resigns.

What is Fitz waiting for? I think our best clue is in the document released showing Cheney's handwritten notes on Joe Wilson's op-ed. I think he's sending out the message that he has the Big Dick in his sights next and wants to see if it loosens any more tongues.

OTOH, is it even conceivable that the WH doesn't know this already?

5. Know about Cheney, I mean
I think this is the strongest evidence yet made public that implicates Cheney's complicity. It also infers that Cheney may be the next target of the investigation.

Will there be a "Senior White House Offical A" mentioned in Fitz's next report?

A Fresh Focus on Cheney
Hand-written notes by the Vice President surface in the Fitzgerald Probe

WEB EXCLUSIVE
By Michael Isikoff
Newsweek
Updated: 4:14 p.m. ET May 13, 2006

May 13, 2006 - The role of Vice President Dick Cheney in the criminal case stemming from the outing of White House critic Joseph Wilson's CIA wife is likely to get fresh attention as a result of newly disclosed notes showing that Cheney personally asked whether Wilson had been sent by his wife on a "junket" to Africa.

Cheney's notes, written on the margins of a July 6, 2003 New York Times op-ed column by former ambassador Joseph Wilson, were included as part of a filing Friday night by prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in the perjury and obstruction case against ex-Cheney chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

The notes, Fitzgerald said in his filing, show that Cheney and Libby were "acutely focused" on the Wilson column and on rebutting his criticisms of the White House's handling of pre-Iraq war intelligence. In the column, which created a firestorm after its publication, Wilson wrote that he had been dispatched by the CIA without pay to Niger in February, 2002 to investigate an intelligence report that Iraq was seeking uranium from the African country for a nuclear bomb. Wilson said he was told Cheney had asked about the intelligence, but the White House subsequently ignored his findings debunking the Niger claims.

In the margins of the op-ed, Cheney jotted out a series of questions that seemed to challenge many of Wilson's assertions as well as the legitimacy of his CIA sponsored trip to Africa: "Have they done this sort of thing before? Send an Amb. to answer a question? Do we ordinarily send people out pro bono to work for us? Or did his wife send him on a junket?"

6. At least one of the articles said Fitz had a very long meeting on Fri.
I think the meeting went on too long and there was not time to file the docs. Judges & courts don't work weekends! I think we all need to try to relax until Monday!

7. Ahh, Occam's Razor
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best.

How much lead time does it take Fitz to set up a news conference?

9. I would think there'll already a team of reporters stationed
outside the court building. I know there was on Friday! Sooo, he really doesn't HAVE to seet up a News Conference, but just walk out the door!

10. I don't think Fitz met for 15 hours with anyone on Friday....
...I believe Leopold meant that Fitz had spent a total of about 15 hours over two or more days with Rove's lawyer leading up to a 4 or 5 hour meeting in the offices of Rove's lawyer.

12. Even if it was 4-5 hours on Fri, that still would put the end of the
meeting at pretty late in the day. I don't know about THIS courtt, but most others across the Country don't work long hours, and on Fridays, many adjourn early. If Fitz hadn't notified the court in advance, that he would be filing docs, I still think there wasn't time to do it Fri afternoon.

11. Trustworthy sources
(A rhetorical question?!)

like Truthout and Larry Johnson. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. You don't think Fitz has the goods on Rove?

speakers list now. On Friday the same man that went to court to review Libby's indictment was at court for some undisclosed reason. I wish I could remember his name. I read these two items in the comment section of two blogs so you can take them both with a grain of salt but it does not look good for Rover. I think Fitz is brilliant. I think he looked at the mistakes that were made on the Iran Contra filings and decided to go for the other charges which kept him more insulated from "grey mail" and allowed him to go for the big fish, Cheney. Brilliant man.
