Sources Say The NSA Made It Clear That It Was Willing To Pay....
for cooperation by the Telcos. I'll ask it again: Where did the money come from? How much did they pay? How was this payment reflected in the telcos financial statements? Are the phone companies still providing the NSA with phone records as we debate this? It looks like we taxpayers are footing the bill to have our government spy on us.

1. What information is the administration really looking for?
I'm doubtful if it provides useful information about terrorists - connections between people to use in campaigns?

5. Please Somebody Answer The Questions.......
1. Where did the money come from? (the money the NSA paid to the telcos)

2. How much did they pay? (what dollar amount did they pay? (per piece of data? millions?, etc)

3. How was this payment reflected in the telcos financial statements? (some CPA - tell me how if I was the telco I would log this in my financial?)

4. Are the phone companies still providing the NSA with phone records as we debate this? (is this still going on?; are the telcos still providing the NSA with data?; are they still getting paid?; where is the money coming from?)

My identity is my property... and they are using it without license or permission.
I hope they intend to send out royalty checks to all of us.

3. That's a great question
How do any of these mega corporations that do BushCo's bidding report their black budgets? It certainly goes well beyond the telcos.. The media for instance.

4. Take a look laterally.
Legal ..... Turn over records without profit for country
Illegal ..... Turn over records with profit for political purposes.

And - either way - by having Republicans do this on their own equals political profit any way you look at it since even if one of their reasons was to catch terrorists, had they caught any, they would have said they had done it on a Republican watch.

6. Why does it have to be money/cash
it could well be favorable treatment on legislation.

7. WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM? FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK
Think about all the inside information the NSA would accumulate on every company.

Even if they didn't listen to the actual calls, traffic analysis could lead to some profitable "hits":
If the CEOs of two competing companies suddenly start making lots of long phone calls to each other,
and the CFOs and the lawyers, one might well surmise that a merger or buyout is in the offing.

If they wanted to make double-super sure, they could listen to a call or two.

The money to pay off the Telcos, and do anything the fuck else the NSA wants, comes from the stock market.
