Has there been any other confirmation on Rove's indictment?
There were a huge number of posts on Friday about Rove being indicted but I haven't seen any follow-up information. What's the situation right now?

Thanks!

PS Happy Mothers' Day to all you ladies out there helping raise America the Democratic Way!

2. Nyet, Rove hasn't been indicted--Thrutout was speculating
that's why it doesn't help to jump the gun. When and if Rove is indicted, it will be known to the world just as it was for Libby.

Since the grand jurors did not go to the courtroom to face the judge, which is what happens when an indictment is returned, you know that none was issued on Friday.

4. Ugh. Thanks for the info. I was afraid of that.
I guess the only thing to come of shit like this is that it makes us harder. It hurts to get my hopes up again and again only to be let down.

3. Nothing yet.
I suspect we'll know when there's an announcement that Patrick Fitzgerald plans to hold a news conference. THAT will be it.

Still hoping, though. The wheels of justice certainly do turn slowly, but when they turn, hopefully, they turn in clusters.

7. The indictment will come early next week:
Pitt called Jason to clarify the Truthout article:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1186820&mesg_id=1186820

who clarified something for me that is pretty damned important. In his article, he said:

"During the course of that meeting, Fitzgerald served attorneys for former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove with an indictment charging the embattled White House official with perjury and lying to investigators related to his role in the CIA leak case, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell Rove that he has 24 hours to get his affairs in order, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning."

In point of fact, those 24 hours are "business hours," i.e. starting on Monday.

"Jeez, Jason," I said, "we might want to put that into the essay. Half the planet thought 24 hours was 24 hours. They thought the deal would go down today."

8. Jason Leopold wrote the TruthOut story about Rove's "indictment"
Wasn't he the same reporter that was accused of plagiarism by Salon?

I would check Leopold's record before I go giving him a Pulitzer.
