Come on, let's quit believing the "hardcore republicans leaving Bush"....
Edited on Sun May-14-06 06:37 PM by HardWorkingDem
I think this is just a huge smokescreen. Sure, you might have some hardcore republicans angry at Bush, but come on, let's be realistic. All they are doing is shopping for a different flavor of conservative republicanism.

We have very little hopes of getting any votes from these folks. (Though it is comical reading how angry they are.)

1. It will be hard to tell in 2006
as local elections often hinge on solely local issues. I think the important thing to do is to watch for trends-are repuke incumbants being beaten in primaries? Who is winning them-Bush apologists, people more traditionally conservative, or religious whackos? Finally, the bottom line (and most important to us)-who wins in November. If Dems retake the House, I'll thank every conservative and moderate that voted our way.

6. Do not confuse Conservative ($$$) Repugs from Fundie Wackos
The Fundie Wackos will vote Repug, but the Conservative ($$$) will pick the best person IMHO...

7. It is the hardcore corporatists that are leaving Bush, not their party.
Even they know what happened to the Corporations under Hitler. (OMG, did I say Hitler. I shall have to apologize...not.)
