News from the White House Strategy Room...
Edited on Sun May-21-06 07:56 PM by kentuck
I can't identify my source: it was a fly on the wall. :)

Actually this is entirely from my adept ability to analyze the news.

Bush gave an unusal Sunday speech about the new government in Iraq. There are only a couple of more departments to fill, we are told. The reason he gave the speech today was because he was told to give the speech by Rove and bunch. Although Bush claims he does not follow the polls, the rest of his Party are following the polls extremely close. And they are very concerned.

The immigration issue has turned into a Trojan horse for them. It is a lose-lose. And they really do not see any good answers on the immigration issue that will not further divide the Republican Party. So, the decision is made to tackle the Iraq War issue. If they can make progress in the war, or even pretend to make progress, that may help bring them up in the polls. It's a desperate move but one that Bush is willing to tackle. He will tell the people that great progress is being made. The government is in place. (What he doesn't say is that they are all hidden in the Green Zone of Baghdad)

So the strategy is to play up the new government this week. Hopefully there will not be any large attacks or suicide bombs. But this is their new strategy. If it works out, they may be able to withdraw 10,000-20,000 troops by the end of October. This is their latest campaign strategy. They will attempt to couple this strategy with a new crackdown on illegal immigration, brag about how great the economy is doing, the new taxbreaks, and no attacks since 9/11 and they hope that will carry them thru the next election.

2. 70% NOT LISTENING
This is thier problem after numerous lies, empty promises, and outright crimes people begin to doubt the veracity of this Administration. Once you lose your credability no one gives you much attention.

3. If his strategy is to tell everyone how good life is now since the swore
in a new government in Iraq, I think he has a BIGGGGGGG problem. And I think that everyone is going to be able to see what the problem is. I mean, suicide bombings and IEDs and kidnappings and beheadings are a litle hard to keep quiet.
