1. What else is new? That's what they do.
They practice hypocrisy like other people breathe. They have elevated it to a sort of performance art. With them it's not just the garden-variety hypocrisy of the garden-variety politician; it's towering, blazing, industrial-strength, shameless, in-your-face, belched from the bowels of Hell hypocrisy.

I can't believe it, though. Republicans are going through the Abramoff scandal, and they're grousing because of one payola instance by a few Democrats?

They must really be desperate. Warms my heart to see them on the defensive.
