I found an old, crusty DLC sore and I decided to pick at it.
I don't know why I decided to pick at it. Seems to be a bad habit of mine, but there I am, picking at it again. It does me no good - my skin will likely scar, but I can't help picking.

If someone would simply give me a small bottle of Reasoned Discourse I'll apply it to the sore. It hasn't worked in the past but I might as well try. It'll at least ease the itching a bit.

Thanks for your understanding,

Writer.

1. Does no one want to discuss my sore?
Is it too painful a topic? ;)

6. Why do you pick at the sore just as it's about to heal?
Edited on Tue May-23-06 03:43 PM by wyldwolf
I mean, each time news comes from your doctor that it's getting better, and your friends and family all agree things are looking better for you, ya go and make it bleed all over again.

I mean, the better the prognosis, the more you want to pick at it. Are your purposely sabotaging your chances?

7. I can't help it!
I dunno - maybe I ought to call a shrink about this problem. I can't... stop... picking at it.

8. I think I saw that here awhile ago, I even used it; now where was it put?
Ah well, can't find it so we may as well douse the wound in peroxide and soothe it after with calamine lotion...

9. Ahhh. That feels better, but how am I going to stop picking at it
unless I tie my hands behind my back?

Bad habits are hard to break.
