3. UT-02's will very likely flip to republican
Among republican districts represented by a Democrat, it ranks second highest (in terms of GOP as a percentage of population). New Diebold voting machines will be in place for the first time. The vote count in past elections has always been fairly close, it will only take a solid candidate to tip the balance in the Republican's favor. Matheson may be a liked and respected name in Utah, but how much will that be worth against a very well funded opponent. About the only thing that could save Matheson is his voting record; it's almost indistinguishable from a republican's.
