KKK publishes web-page on anti-gay US Rep. Marilyn Musgrave

The Knights Party, an Arkansas based affiliate of the Ku Klux Klan, has posted a web page in support of a bill introduced by U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colorado), PageOneQ has learned. The report first appeared in ROLL CALL a newspaper serving Washington, DC's Capitol Hill.

The bill, The Home School Non-Discrimination Act of 2005 (HR 3753), is described on the website as having "(A) lot of provisions. Chief among them is making sure home-schooled students get a fair shot at financial aid and scholarship opportunities. In some states," the site continues, "these kids can't apply for some scholarships." On the website, the Knights Party refers to the bill as HR 2732, the bill number in the 108th Congress.

In addition to sponsoring the same bill in the 108th Congress, Musgrave also was the sponsor of an amendment to the US Constitution which would, if enacted, deny marriage equality to same-sex couples. In the 109th Congress, Musgrave has not sponsored or co-sponsored a similar proposal, the Marriage Protection Amendment (HJ 39).
