A nightmare to behold: Will Lieberman seek revenge?
Let us assume for a moment that Lieberman loses the Democratic Primary. Some predict that he might decide to run as an independent, thereby splitting the Democratic Voters, and he is rumored to be considering that right now. However, what if Joe decides to sink even lower?

Consider the last election cycle when the pundits were pushing a Kerry/McCain ticket. They really want to see a mixed ticket and they are pushing for one. What would be the Democratic response to a Giuliani/Lieberman ticket? What would be our response if Lieberman decides to run with Giuliani to capitalize on the Moderate/Conservative wing of the Democratic Party (who may already be favorable to Giuliani)?

I'm not saying Lieberman WOULD do this, or even predicting that he will - I am simply wondering what the result from fellow Democrats would be, and am wondering if Joe would be exiled from the party from all sides or forgiven and allowed to remain with the party? What would we do? Would we smear him? Would we allow such a betrayal to go unpunished?

1. You Know, Sir
If there were eight days in a week, we would have to come up with a name.

What do you think it should be?

Should it come between Saturday and Sunday, and between Sunday and Monday?

By the way, do you believe the week ends on Saturday, or begins on Monday?

2. There are several things I'd worry about before that one.
Giuliani has a LOT of problems that will make it very hard for him to get anywhere in the Repub primaries. Personal history, plus pro-choice, pro-gay righrts.

And Holy Joe wasn't that good a VP candidate before.

8. Well, of course it isn't high on the radar. I posted because...
...I was going back through some of my older posts and noticed that I was in a discussion about a Giuliani/Lieberman ticket, and then wondered if Lieberman would actually consider doing something like that seeing as how some people are predicting he'll run as an Independent for his Senate seat.

4. I'd say "Praise Allah" if it were a Giuliani/Lieberman ticket
holy cow, the red-staters would hate it. Two "baby-killers," one of them a Jew!

We'd win in a walk.

So the response from Dems would be, "Thank you, Holy Joe!"

Which party would nominate this pair? Neither are acceptable to the repuke base and the dems have had more than enough jomentum.

10. Giuliani gets to hold his leash, Joe gets Roy Moore!
...an orgy of insanity and madness.

Yes, that would be an amusing convention. The religious right would probably nail themselves to crosses in protest (literally). Well, okay, not themselves - but maybe some poor people off the street.

12. It could happen, but Mc.Cain/Lieberman would be more likely
That would bring in a lot of crossover Democrats and moderates from both parties.

13. You guys ever heard of the words Reagan Democrats??
It could very well happen again. Keep dissing the moderates, and you'll keep on losing elections

14. McCain, Sir, Is A Very Low Reptile
His popularity would prove much less than advertised in a general election....

18. Oh, PUH-LEEEEZE....
Joe would jump at the chance to run with Giuliani or McCain and there wouldn't have to be revenge involved at all... he's a D I N O.... and he's a power-hungry egotistical a**hole on top of it. He feels ENTITLED to a spot on ANY ticket.

Put your ear to the ground... know what that low slow rumble is? Sounds like gas, I know, but it's Joementum, and he's ready to give it to any ticket that'll have him.

19. He couldn't run independent as Senator
The filing date to run is like the day before or after the primary, don't remember now. But he'd have to gather all the signatures before the primary was held.
I looked this up before but if it turns out I am wrong, I didn't say this, OK?
