I am fighting for Smart, Honest Government, Fiscal Responsibility, Education and Jobs. I wholeheartedly support the Democrats Honest Leadership and Open Government Act and look forward to voting for it once elected to Congress. I support cutting pork barrel spending and reinstituting the "pay as you go" program into the federal appropriations process. I will fight to end tax incentives to ship our jobs overseas and I will support America's working families. I support a federal living wage. People who work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, should not live in poverty in the wealthiest nation in the world. Finally, I will fight for federal support for pre-kindergarten programs and a return to historic funding levels for post-secondary student loans. An investment in our children is an investment in America's working class and our future. From my first hand view in Dayton, I know how important it is to secure America's jobs and provide support for our workers.
