I have an idea!

The Immigration bill calls for immigratnts to pay $3250 each. With 12 million of them that comes to $39 billion. So I say we use that money to pay for Health Care for as many people as we can who don't have health care. Start with kids then adults then those who are underinsured. If you like it write to your senator and Ted kennedy since health care is one of his 'pet issues'. What do you think?

Sounds more like about two days of defense spending for the crusades. Or about 35 minutes worth of interest on the accumluated debt.

5. Lost Taxes due to Wage Suppression

Let's not forget the $38-59 billion in lost tax revenue due to the wage suppression caused by a $1700 average wage reduction on 143 million workers.

Between that tax loss, and the anticipated Earned Income Tax Credit payout, it will be a net loss. And a large net loss at that. (See Illegal Immigration Suppresses Wages

3. Earned Income Tax Credit

Some are suggesting that the $3250 will exactly offset the Earned Income Tax Credit the amnestied illegal aliens will receive when they file taxes returns.

So it doesn't look like we're going to be able to "spend" that money, because it's already spent.
