RW Rag: Patriot Project and denouncing of Swift Liars is harrassment
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 07:01 AM by ProSense
Snip...

Now we read that the campaign against the Swifties is going to gain momentum. The sorehead Kerry supporters have joined together in a group called the Patriot Project. It will seek out the Swifties and scrutinize their complaints against Mr. Kerry. It will also support opponents of the war in Iraq and visit editorial offices to make the case for such veterans as the Honorable John P. Murtha, a Vietnam War vet who now opposes the Iraq War. All of this sounds like political harassment to me, but as the shrinks are wont to say, "If it is true for you, it is true for you." For a certitude, the left wing of the Democratic Party believes that whatever it believes is true. Mr. Kerry believes he would be president today if he had not been swiftboated. He has hired a researcher to prove from naval archives that he was in Cambodia three decades ago for a few hours when the Nixon administration said he was not supposed to be there. What does this prove? I think it proves that beyond being a self-aggrandizing, self-indulgent showoff, this guy is a nut. Yet I leave all this to the professionals.

Mr. Tyrrell is the founder and editor in chief of The American Spectator, a contributing editor to The New York Sun, and an adjunct scholar at the Hudson Institute.

5. Well, I'm glad he has intimate knowledge of what shrinks
have to say, as it seems he needs one. I do remember one of the 2 men in the Presidental debates who looked and sounded like a nut - it wasn't John Kerry. I assume enough people saw him in the debates for this tactic to work other than on his American Spectator base - where "nut" is an improvement on other things they've called him.

2. Yeah right, Nixon said they weren't supposed to be there, meanwhile
Nixon was telling his generals to go into cambodia. What the idiot forgot about those of us old enough to remember Nixons lies?

3. Well...if it was printed in the NY Sun it has to be true, right?
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 07:50 AM by rpannier
I mean, if a paper like the Sun...which is what?, the third or fourth or fifth largest paper in New York City (if it's even that) has printed this, I'm sure there must be something to it. Now...I have never heard of the New York Sun (In fact I thought that it was a basketball team or a minor league baseball team), I am sure it's name "The Sun" means that it's reporting is above board. The sun gives light to the universe, all the planets revolve around the sun. So I'm sure the sun is a paper that models itself after that image.

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. It is so prominent that I had never seen it though
I live in the NJ suburbs and go into the city several times a month. This is in spite of usually stopping to get something to read at the news stand for the train ride.

4. How dare anyone mount a campaign against the Swifties
After all, they are proud patriots whose sole mission was to fuck up a presidential campaign with lies, distortion and hate. What could be more American than that? And who is more American than mr tyrell, the protector potentate of "conservative" values.
