Oh Great... a "Real ID"...
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 10:42 AM by neoblues
Now they're going to convert our driver's licenses to a national ID that links to all our personal information. Go into the pharmacy or wherever... show your ID... and they promise it will be totally secure (nobody can get your info... but what if you lose it or it gets stolen?). "Don't leave home without it..., It's everywhere you want to be!".

Totalitarian Control Ministry... "You're in Good Hands..."

Real ID
Edit: Added link to "Real ID".

3. I've already been marked
When they ticketed me for tinted windows and stapled the ticket, I went ahead and just left the whole damned staple in to make it easier for them. Next time, they should get a serious fine for destruction/malicious damage to a federal document! :sarcasm:

Isn't this the Sensenbrenner thing? Honestly, I think "REAL" stands for Republican Enemies And Liberals.

8. Yup! It was the end of the month and they were desperate for $$$
(Long story) Short version...after yelling at the cop about pulling me over for absolutely NO reason, and asked him if my car was profiled for high probably of not having insurance (looks like a little POS), he proceeded to tell me that he wouldn't be able to see inside the car if I was smoking pot! :wtf: :wtf: I shot him a look and he changed his tune to the bank just down the street getting robbed the week prior and he wouldn't be able to see in the car if the robber jumped in the car and was beating me up. :eyes:

Well, I went ahead and took it to traffic court (another joke!). Saved five bucks! :woohoo:

In Illinois, the driver's side and front passenger side windows are not allowed to have tint. Of course, the businesses that take your money to professionally tint your windows fail to tell you that little 'fact'. Not to mention it is a law that is not well known and not evenly applied. :grr:

16. Damn!
I live next to Salem MA and there was a saying about that city:

Tinted glass or tinted skin, they're pulling you over.

9. Yes, in my state of Georgia, they passed a law last year
against very darkly tinted windows.

7. Why don't they just insert a "chip" into each of us...
In addition to getting ALL our information by scanning us, they can track us too.

What a bunch of Big Brothers!

12. That's being discussed, actually
I heard a news story the other day about putting a chip in children. It's being framed as a safety factor to track children in the event of kidnapping. No mention of when the chip would be removed.

17. A lot of truth said in jest
I don't understand why people would accept this in a "democracy" - oh, that's right, today they are trying to vote on banning same sex marriage and IMPOSE their THEOCRACY on all of us!

19. If someone had tried to...
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 12:15 PM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...convince me back in '99 of all that would take place and be accepted between '00 and '06 in this country without massive unrest and citizen revolt, I would have thought they were completely nuts. I would have told them Americans would NEVER stand for such things, and felt quite confident in saying so. How wrong I would've been.

We, the collective citizenry, are numbed, docile, and in deep denial of the seriousness of what has taken place. We continue to willfully play the role of the 'good patriotic Germans of '33-'45,' and we're likely to suffer the same fate if we don't snap out of it soon.

18. Saw That Exact Thing...
on a television program--like yesterday! Showed a man having such an implant implanted! Said the company (a U.S. company) developing these little things (small clear plastic tube with copper windings and a chip inside) was working on finishing up their development.

Once implanted, just walk into a building... Bing... it's recorded. Hurt? Paramedics wave a wand over you and Bing... up comes your records on their computer. Stopped by the Police? There's your records (driving or criminal if you have one). Apparently, at some point, if you want to check-out at the grocery (or other) store... it's automatic--just walk up to the counter and once they've rung it up, you're done (don't have to do a thing, except perhap push a button saying "I Accept the charge". Handy... but there will also be sensors installed in all sorts of public places... just walk past--a record of where you were, and when. Oh, I forgot, you won't need "Keys" either. Just walk up to your car, it unlocks. Get in an push the start button--won't work for anybody you haven't set it up for (something about a transmitter in your car too--that reports and is recorded all over the place, so they know where you've driven). Had a bankruptcy? Don't walk into a car dealership and expect to be treated well (well, to be fair, today they check your credit at the first possible moment anyway).

Just wait, before long they'll probably add DNA info so that anybody who has the potential for a health problem won't be hired--rejected at the front reception.
