Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 05:37 PM by Husb2Sparkly
becomes dominant in its market.

I want the freest of free markets for the little guy companies and breakup of every company that dominates the place in the market where it plays. Like when we broke up Standard Oil or the Bells. And then just keep breaking them down when the get too big. Verizon is a Baby Bell that grew too big. Tear them apart.

I am a capitalist who wants caps on CEO pay (and all top exec pay).

I am a capitalist who wants political personhood for corporations outlawed. There is no corporation I can conceive of that has any right whatever to lobby a politician. I favor the total outlawing of corporate political contributions. I find no reason to 'bundle' political donations. That's a bullshit scam to hide corporate gifts behind the skirts of private donations. It is wrong and it needs to stop. Now.

I am a capitalist who wants the corporate veil to have a HUGE zipper that we can open and walk through when the company's officers try to hide behind it to break the law. I want a law that associates a corporate officer with every single, tiny action a corporation takes. I want a name to go with an action. I want accountability and I want to know the name of the person who will be hauled into court when a company dumps toxic waste or screws and employee out of overtime.

I am a capitalist who wants a predator like WalMart prevented from unfairly competing with Joe's Hardware or Herb's Vision Center or Myron's MiniMart. I want WalMart broken so far apart the pieces will be unrecognizable.

I am a capitalist that wants to use the tax code to SEVERELY punish the outsourcers ... not only job outsourcers but capital outsourcers.

I am a capitalist who wants a managed economy - managed in a way that fosters *real* and *fair* competition - not among titans but among good actors.

I am a capitalist who wants to see the tax code used to encourage good corporate citizenship while at the same time using the same tax code to SEVERELY punish bad citizenship.

I am a capitalist who wants to see businesses across the land made to pay higher taxes so they can, in turn, be subsidized in the form of universal health care for every man, woman, and child in this country. No health care benefit costs for companies will serve us all better than we are now served by the insurance companies who live off our collective blood.

I want a fair shake for fair minded people everywhere ...... including capitalists.

Edit to change the descriptor of WalMart from 'perpatrator' to 'predator'

3. and "corporate welfare bums"
Their wealthy shareholders and boards of directors generally complain if there is some teenaged mother getting government money, but demand tax breaks and outright handouts if their profit margin isn't what they think it should be (and I'm looking in your direction, oil companies and airlines!).

4. I am a Capitalist
Who wants to see the total cost of a product included in the price of that product. This means:

The price of oil should include the cost of the Iraq war.

The price of chemicals should include the cost of the environmental damage they create.

The price of water should include the cost of the infrastructure needed to provide it.

The price of food should include the cost of farm subsidies.

etc.

8. Capitalism Could Be a Good System...
...but not the way it currently is. The capitalism of the 21st century is a joke. I call it economic fascism rather than capitalism. Everyone should have a chance to make it if they work hard. The way things are today, the people who work hard get nothing while rich, lazy people who sit on their asses in their cushy offices get everything. That is not capitalism to me.

10. we don't have capitalism anymore
corporations are manipulating the market in order to create demand, they are gouging prices, we are on our way back to the robber barons era. The productivity of average american is increasing, corporation profits are increasing, yet standards of living are going down.
