What percentage of the Congress is stealing taxpayer dollars ?
With these recent stories about Cunningham, Jerry Lewis, Bilbray, Molahan of WV, and many of their aides making huge sums of money off their positions in the Congress, one has to ask, are they all taking money and stuffing it in their pockets. Defense contracts and money have been flowing like wine for almost 6 years now. Before that, it only flowed like champagne.

But, I am beginning to wonder if not every single Congressman is getting paid under the table in some manner or other? My cynicism has reached the bottom, I hope. We may need a revolution just to throw these sons of bitches out of office?

2. And the "legal" stealing
in the form of pork barrel spending and the general fund use of our Social Security regressive tax payments to pay for the pork. I was watching a tape of the first Mondale-Reagan debate yesterday (a little odd isn't it!) and was astonished when Reagan stated that our Social security payments were placed into a trust fund. There is no trust fund - it's being spent. IOUs do not make a trust fund.

3. Well, since none of them have earned their salaries lately...
I'd say all of them. You know if we just voted against and ousted every incumbent, the Dems would win the house and we would get rid of all the tenured assholes who have been robbing us blind for the past 20 years of so.

Never has the need for term limits been so evident.

5. 100% No, they're not all...
lining their pockets like Cunningham, but with the pork running through their fingers like hot rib grease they all love nothing more than to spend our money on projects they can brag about. Makes no difference if the money is spent wisely or not-- it's whether or not they can campaign on it.

And, yeah, there is all that K Street money floating around that helps them make up their minds.
