Hackett on for Springer this morning
I just turned it on and he's mentioning Sherrod Brown. Is he dissing him? Also, he has Jessica Cutler, the former staff assistant for Mike DeWine, with the blog. Hackett is hitting on her, calling her sweetheart and saying do they all look like you.

3. Hackett's job is to keep Brown's poll numbers down
no doubt he's being handsomely rewarded for doing so. His attacks always begin at the same time every month.

9. No, just a gut feeling
based on many years of political experience and abundant evidence from Hackett that he isn't interested in helping the Democratic party.

10. I respectfully disagree with you
and even though I like hackett, I will support Brown, and most every Democrat in 2006

He's holding house parties around the state this month, why don't you volunteer and hold one?

5. hackett is telling it like it is
he is asking cutler how can I talk to DeWine? How much of a contribution is needed to talk with him.

People may not like what he says, but he is NOT afraid to say it. It is too bad that their are not many Democrats in congress today who have the courage to speak up

7. Thanks but no thanks
Hackett is too much of a loose cannon. He's not trustworthy. However, he would be a good person for Fox News.

8. not trying to start an argument, but I would rather have that
then a mostly Democratic congress that gives this administration everything they want, and that includes supreme court justices

I support Brown because of his progressive ideas, but the Democratic leadership was NOT fair to him. What many don't realize they also screwed Dean in Iowa. Yes, Dean took the high road, but it still doesn't make it right what they did to him

12. What they did
was to support the better candidate. Just because someone runs does not mean that everyone has to jump on that bandwagon. Hackett withdrew from the race. He did not have to do that. Other candidates have stayed in races and won against opponents supported by the party. Zack Space (Ohio 18th) is one of them. He didn't have the money or support of the party. He also did not quit. He and his team put together a winning race by doing legwork and not whining.

14. Did Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer
call Zack Space's contributors and tell them NOT to contribute any more money to his candidacy?

They did that to Hackett, remember:

http://motherjones.com/news/update/2006/02/hackett_drops_out.html

There's no comparing Space to Hackett.

that's blatantly obvious to everyone now. Most of us want to win the election.

Its time to move on.

Now why don't we talk about the candidate who is working his a** off to defeat DeWine.

Karl Rove is working on this campaign, let's do all we can to make him fail.

28. I heard a small part of it - and it lowered my already low opinion
When another woman called in to dispute his sarcasm on congressmen and their staff - saying that she was helped by Kuchinich's staff. She commented that Jessica seemed to have difficutly putting 2 sentences together and he said something implying when you look like her you don't have to. He knocked her comment that the staffers are often the people you really need to speak to and he kept criticizing all of them.

He said he was a "Goldwater Democrat" - what the hell is that? He is a JERK

31. I will take a Goldwater Democrat over a Republican
Hillary was a Goldwater Repub. I've known others. They long since left the Republican party behind, however.

And certainly old school Republicans are not the same animal we face now with this admin.
