The MSNBC propaganda has begun.....

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13306316/

"
"There's a sense of motion and energy and progress on different fronts," said Peter H. Wehner, White House director of strategic initiatives. "There's more of a sense that we're shaping events, rather than being controlled by them."

The spate of positive developments may have arrested the president's months-long slide in opinion polls, at least for now. Bush's approval rating has risen from a low of 31 percent in May to 38 percent this week, according to a USA Today-Gallup poll. Zarqawi's death seems to have somewhat shored up confidence in the prospects for victory in Iraq, with 48 percent now believing the United States will win, compared with 39 percent in April. Still, a CBS News weekend poll with a smaller sample showed Bush's approval rating slipping in the past month from 35 percent to 33 percent."

1. Gee, I guess the Haditha story is too much of a "downer" for the press
We have completely lost our fourth estate. I never thought this could happen in my country. Honestly.

2. 7% of Americans think...
We're now somehow going to win the war because Zarqawi is dead? Hell, we killed Saddam's bros a long time ago and look where that got us. American idiots.

4. Did I hear Scarborough -
before I could leap to change the channel - mouth some bullshit about 69% of Americans now believing that we must WIN the Iraqi "war"?

Tell me I've lost my mind and hallucinated that one. Tell me it's the sixties coming back in massive drug surges in my body, please.

11. It's positively shameful...
Edited on Wed Jun-14-06 06:28 AM by Totally Committed
Pravda, at least, made no bones about being run for and by the government. They never tried to claim "fairness" as a mantle. Ugh. Lies, lies, lies... propoganda, propoganda, propoganda... over airwaves that are supposed to belong to us, in a press that is supposed to be free. What a f*cking joke!

have risen that dramatically that quickly. They sure are low in CA.

5. Americans are starved for some positive news
MSNBC said we've been subjected to so much bad news with the failures of this administration, that we'll glom on to any favorable news. Only to be dashed back to reality the next week.

The summertime propaganda season just began!

Just like it did last year.
And the year before that in 2004.
And the year before that in 2003.
And the year before that in 2002.

5 straight years of BushCo propaganda.

Will they be able to lie enough this year to keep Congress controlled by the Republican party?

They're going to try.

"Success in Iraq is just around the corner."

How many times have we been around that block these last 3 years?

10. What a load of crap
that Bush's little trip gives him some "breathing room" in the polls... and Rove wasn't criminally indicted (Touchdown!)

Just pure crap, when the lack of a criminal indictment is a sign of victory....

13. Damn, the Bushies are hot for those high school graduates!
The Chimp strolls into Iraq like it's Central Park, plays with the cool military gadgets (all kids love the helos), big smile on his face, al-Zarkawi is kaput, his death having restored the good name of our military, NG is on the statelines where they belong, seemingly no longer deployed, Rumsfeld has put out word that army enlistment quotas are being met, even though they aren't, and everything is coming up roses.

If the Bushies sucker enough small fry, they may be good to go against Iran as soon as bootcamp is completed.

Meanwhile, Italy is about to kick US ass on Saturday, embarrassing us once again in what will likely be another shutout match. We can't win in the Middle East, and we can't win on the soccer field. God, it will be good to get rid of this loser in 2009.

15. "Deutschland Muss Leben Auch Wenn Wir Sterben Müssen"
(Germany must live, even if we must die).

Bush essentially plagiarized those words today, exchanging Germany for the US.

Bush so loves to play the role of the big bully with the military might, just like his predecessor.

18. Wow! A rise to 38%!
I'm sorry but 38% in the Gallup poll in pathetic. I'm more popular than that. Even if those numbers are true they will go down again because people will realize that his death will make no difference.
