Iraq is a puppet democracy as Bush proved today.
His host, the Iraq leader, wasn't notified of w's "visit" until 5 minutes before Bush was presented in person to him. I guest the Iraqi leader couldn't be trusted and W has no faith in his ability to lead or secure Iraq.

W's calling the shots completely.

3. It was reported as such
So it can't be interpreted as anything other than almost complete acquiescence to Shrub by al-Maliki.

And at a time when Bunnypants couldn't be any less respected in the world. Or Iraq, for that matter.

A real SNAFU this time.

4. W's saying "Here I come to tell you how it will be"
(Or if it doesn't end up that way I'll tuck my tail in between my legs and run) and blame it on your inadequacies. I tried.

5. Clinton never got credit for holding Israeli/Palestinian talks
Even though they never produced any meaningful results.

And we KNOW this meeting won't do anything to change results in Iraq.

He'd better not be praised for this fiasco.

He actually went to Iraq without a plastic turkey!

Republicans have very low expectations of this man and it has spread. I've heard that there is going to be a press release on how he can spread peanut butter with "only a few" tears in the bread. The base is happy.

8. Good point
What if a foreign leader made a secret trip to the US and notified Bush and the White House of his arrival 5 minutes beforehand? I'm sure Bush would just drop everything to meet with the foreign leader at a moment's notice.

10. Da big boss--da capo--
gon' be flyne in tuhday!

The shiny figure head, the front man who is(spoken quietly) highly expendable, who is too friggin' dumb to realize he's squarely in the line of fire-figuratively, of course-comes pushing in to polish up the serfs.

If I were that Iraqi leader, I would be highly pissed, to be treated as an inferior, rather than a head of state.
Nee kultyori-transliterating-none too skillfully-the worst insult available in Russian. Uncultured.

* is such a bore: incurious, unable to grasp the very basics of ambassadorial temperament. I am not an expert on Iraqi behavioral idiom, but when that man shook *'s hand and wiped it on his clothes, I don't think he was displaying awe or respect, it looked like he was trying to wipe off some hidden dirt or bfee sweat.

If a person who was well versed in human sensibilities were to summon the local head of state on five minute's notice, it would be perceived an a calculated insult, a very nasty one.
Stupid hack! Anti-cultural maggot.

12. Bush positioned in the middle of the Iraqi leaders
The Chimp sat there in Iraq with the Presidential seal of the US behind him and American flag displayed boldly as the Iraqi flag was hardly visible, on one side was Iraq's "President" on the other " the "Prime Minister" like obedient lap dogs. Think about it. If a foreign leader came to this country and held a joint news conference with the President and the Sec of State (as an example) would the foreign leader be seated between the two with his emblem displayed on the wall and his flag more prominent than the US flag? What a friggin joke. Somebody better say "Stop children what's that sound, everybody LOOK what's goin down!" For those too young to know the lyric it's Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Yong.... from the 4 Way Street records. Those were revolution songs! Time to take to the streets and demand "Power for the People" again! Everyday I get madder, sicker, and work harder to make change, by writing letters, making phone calls, writing on blogs.....but it's not enough, we need physical presence to be displayed in the streets of America just like in the 70's! Now is the time, we are the people. RedTail Wolf

15. I find it particularly disturbing.
He should be invited, not just show up. How many people have had a mother-in-law just "show up". He really is an ass.
