$2100 for a photo with Cheney???

An email I just got...

KLEEB FOR CONGRESS NEWSLETTER
JUNE 15, 2006

Making History

Pat yourself on the back. You have achieved something historic: for the first time in history, a sitting Vice President of the United States will visit the third district of Nebraska.

No, he's not coming to celebrate Nebraska Days, or Windmill Days, or Lone Tree Days. He's not coming to meet with ag producers to discuss the 2007 farm bill, or to announce a new direction in foreign policy.

He's coming for a photo op with Adrian Smith.

"The vice president is committed to maintaining a Republican majority in the House and Senate," a White House spokeswoman told the Grand Island Independent yesterday, June 14.

Cheney will host a $200-per-person fundraiser luncheon for Smith in Grand Island on June 26. Photos with the Vice President will sell for $2,100.

Washington Republicans have been watching us. They have watched us build on of the strongest grassroots campaigns in the country. They have watched Scott debate Adrian Smith on the issues. And they have come to the conclusion Scott Kleeb is on the road to victory in Nebraska.

Why else would a vice president make a campaign visit to the fifth most Republican district in the country?

Let's Send a Message

We have got their attention. Now let's send a message.

Tell Adrian Smith and the Washington political establishment that political campaigns are about more than photo ops.

Tell Adrian Smith that political campaigns are about more than tapping into the bank account of special interest groups like the Club for Growth.

Tell Adrian Smith that a two-hour visit isn't going to stop a movement that's been building for two years: a movement to vote for change in Washington; a movement to move past special interest politics to address issues critical to the future of this country.

$2,100 per photograph.

Mr. Smith's handlers are betting that this influx of cash will give their campaign some much needed momentum. Help us send a message that political participation isn't about the size of your pocket book, but the depth of your convictions. Make a $21 contribution today to Kleeb for Congress.

To make a donation, go to: http://www.scottkleeb.com/21/donate.asp?display=5

Who knows, maybe next time they'll have to send the president.

$2100 for a photo with Deadeye Dick? Gimme a break!

And good luck to Scott!

1. Cheney came in our area to support a Republican candidate
The county democratic party got more unsolicited $$$ donations than ever. And they were not able to fill the event for Cheney. After that visit we say bring Cheney to town more often!!!

3. I might pay $2,100 NOT to be photographed with Cheney.
Anyhow, do the Undead even show up in photographs? If not, this whole thing might turn out to be a complete rip-off. Imagine if you just paid $2,100 to have your picture taken with the Vice President, and you get the photo back and he's not even there.
