eight House of Reps. were on Wash. Journal this morning

one after the other in this order: D. Rep. James Clyburn, R. Rep. Duncan liar Hunter, D. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, R. Rep. Deborah Pryce, D Rep. Louise Slaughter, R. Rep. Roy liar Blunt, R. Rep. Henry Hyde, and D. Rep. Ike Shelton

all talking about Iraq and the debate today. and taking calls.

the neo cons all spewed the same old, same old stuff - 9/11 9/11 9/11, Saddam bad man, Iraq doing wonderfully, etc.

all except Hyde. oh he did the same spin but added a few new thoughts: Iraq is complicated, Viet Nam was not. and he came right out and said oil was of importance and was an issue. he said Palestine/Israel was a "burning issue". and that our problems are global.

and of course he fear mongered that the mid east will use nukes on us. I wanted to scream at the TV that we are nuking Iraq every day with depleted uranium, you dumb shit.

Hunter said a funny: smirk's greatest quality is 'persistence'. and he thinks a 'modicum of freedom in Iraq is good'. modicum?

---------------

the dems spoke truth to power. Kucinich reminded everyone of the anthrax attack. and I truly love Louise Slaughter and would stand with her anytime.

---------------------------

and I want to thank c-span for an excellent show this morning and the host did a wonderful job of keeping things moving along and the callers sticking to the subject.

3. I caught Hyde & Skelton this morning the dems seem upset
that this resolution (cheer leading time) has been changed from Iraq to the 'war on terror'. The repukes are trying to say that the central part of the war on terror is being fought in Iraq and that if we leave now it will make us less save. The opposite is actually true. Us being in Iraq is making us less save.

I also caught another part of the resolution that is trying to give Bush & Co. credit for Libya getting rid of their 'WMDs'& that the invasion if Iraq lead to that. The Clinton admin actually had been negotiating with them & Libya had been desperate for $$$ - that is why they go rid of their little lab.

This so called resolution is a shame & no one should support it - but some dems will have to because its election time.
