Is there any update on the DSCC debacle?
Yesterday this place was, rightfully, up in arms over Schemer Schumer apparently indicating that the DSCC would (against its policy of electing Democrats) support Lieberman in a potential (whiny, cowardly little bully) independent bid for Congress.

Now I see that Skinner's apt warning has dropped out of sight, and I see no further info on this. Was it accurate? Did Schumer lose his mind, or recover it?

1. I'm sensing "no".
Darn, I'd hoped there would be a positive change today, especially since we were supposedly promised a clarification today.

2. I Sent An Email Telling Them To Forget Any More Money From Me...
if they back a Lieberman write-in or independent run. The Democratic candidate is the Democratic candidate. It's just that simple.

3. I'm just surprised there's been no clarification as promised.
Well, okay, I'm not all THAT surprised.

5. So much for the "clarification", I guess.
Maybe they think they can just ignore us.

They'd better think again.

6. To ignore us would be a BAD miscalculation...

7. I thought so, too.
It could fracture the party beyond repair if they do this.

8. That's overstating it a bit. But it would turn off a LOT of voters.
Ignoring the mere voters of Connecticut because, well, Joe's your friend, would be the height of arrogance. I doubt such a call would stand up to a massive outcry from the grassroots. Surely Schumer and the Committee aren't that tone deaf, or that corrupt, are they?

10. Lieberman is quoted in today's WaPo as considering an indy run
"I want to put my whole record before the whole voting population of Connecticut" -- clearly implying an independent run if he loses to Lamont in August.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/16/AR2006061601561.html

Schumer will have to decide what to do if, after the August 8 primary, Lieberman loses and decides to run against the Democratic nominee. If Schumer decides to back Lieberman, he should resign from DSCC.

I've had it with these two AIPAC twins!
