History Channel: Fog of War (McNamara) Saturday Night
Premieres:
Saturday, June 17 @ 9pm ET/PT

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Errol Morris, and winner of the 2004 Best Documentary Oscar, this interview with Robert McNamara, Secretary of Defense in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, gives a uniquely unsettling viewpoint on much of 20th-century American history. Employing a ton of archival material, Morris probes the reasons behind the U.S. commitment to the Vietnam War. McNamara himself emerges as clearly haunted by the what-ifs of Vietnam. He also mulls the bombing of Japan in World War II and the Cuban Missile Crisis, raising more questions than he answers. (2003) TVPG

1. McNamara and Rumsfeld both ignored military professionals and both
directed an illegal/immoral invasion of a weak nation.

:puke: on both!
