What's this 'we' shit, chickenhawks?
Edited on Fri Jun-16-06 06:36 PM by Husb2Sparkly
How dare these Republican congressional shitbirds get up and say what 'we' are doing in Iraq? How dare they challenge us about 'we' need to be doing in the GlobalWarOnTerror?

Murtha to Gohmert: Where you in Viet Nam? Were you in Iraq?

Hey Gomer, kiss my ass, you chickenhawk shitbird trying to damn with your faint praise of a *real* hero. How big of you to say what 'we' are doing. Get your scrawny, worthless ass in a a uniform, grab a gun and go join the *real* 'we' who are doing what you claim 'we' are doing. I'm a 'we'. You ain't.

2. Murtha Transcript (in response to McHenry et al)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REP. PATRICK MCHENRY (R), NORTH CAROLINA: They're advocating a policy called cut and run. They're advocating a policy of waving the white flag to our enemies. It is a policy, Mr. Speaker -- make no mistake about it -- that the left in this country are advocating. But we are fighting a war. We are fighting a war against Islamic extremists that hate the very fiber of our being as Americans.

REP. JOHN MURTHA (D), PENNSYLVANIA: When I hear somebody standing here sanctimoniously saying we're going to fight this out, we're not fighting at all. The troops are doing the fighting. The families are doing the sacrificing. A small proportion of families in this country are doing the sacrificing. And that's why I get so upset when they stand here sanctimoniously saying we're fighting this thing. It's the troops who are doing the fighting, not the members of Congress who are doing the fighting.

4. Murtha has been en fuego the last few days
He's always been strong, but the last couple of days I have been grinning from ear to ear hearing a Dem actually stand up and call bullshit to the bullshitter's face.

We need a LOT more just like him.

18. How about reading Gen. Smedley Butler's
"War is A Racket" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smedley_Butler, rather than cheer leading this crap. The only reason American kids are getting killed in Iraq and killing Iraqis is to make the world safe for imperial exploitation.

It's too bad Burghardt got blown up, but that's not what it's all about. This war, like all imperial wars, has nothing to do with our, normal Americans, lives and everything to do with economic pillage that does us no good.

23. Damn straight, Red Rover. I say kill everything that moves.
Women, children, infants, old men, dogs, horses. Just kill them so we can bring them freedom. Who cares if they had nothing to do with September 11th? Kill them anyway.

What does Murtha know? He was never in combat like President Bush was. Why, I heard the other day that President Bush was a regular hero during the Vietnam War. And Cheney`s five deferments...that`s no big deal. Look how many guns he owns. He`s a regular warrior at heart.

And....if anyone ever tells you that if the show was on the other foot, Americans would fight off any government that invaded THIS country, set them straight, okay?

Edited to add: I wish Kerry had said this or something very much like it during the campaign, but that's water over the damn, isn't it?

I didn't mean to imply otherwise... I just wish he could have flipped that switch during the campaign is all.

20. Kerry
It is fine to act like a gentleman when you are ordinarily dealing with the usual but I was what! disappointed? maybe alittle disgusted that he didn't seem to recognize what it was all about and COME OUT FIGHTING--you don't pussyfoot when dealing with cut throats. He should have told it like it was---surely he realized that they were determined to win---why didn't he contest the results? At least it would have waked some people up to what was going on.

31. Yeah, a lot of us wished that Kerry had said something like that
and stood up like a man and called his swiftboaters a bunch of "fat-mouthed liars" but he didn't and it was one of the major things that helped him lose the race early on. And it is one of the main reasons that I never want to see Kerry run for President again.

8. OMG.. I =LOVED= watching that today! Murtha made that A-hole..
..look like the Chickenhawk WOOSIE-ASS Republican that he is !!!!

The dude was rambling on about how if it wasn't for blah, blah, blah, "we'd all be Japanese"..

Murtha called the weasle's scrawny little ass back up and asked him just where the fuckwad had served.

=== ===

That little Gohmey-boy looked scared out of his friggin' mind !! :scared: :scared:

He started rambling as he tried to answer in front of the big honkin' soldier Murtha.. :patriot:

The weasely little SOB drifted off into some response that didn't make a lick of sense; just trying like Hell to slither back to his seat!

Murtha kept the pressure on and EMBARRASSED his slimey ass all to Hell !!!

Whoever the Hell voted that nutcase Gohmert in must be hanging their heads in shame after watching him today!

Congressman Murtha.. you make us proud! You make your nation PROUD!!

9. You know .......
..... when Murtha called Gomer back, the expression on Gomer's face was priceless. He had a real 'please don't hit me, Mr. Murtha' look on his face. Murtha could have told hom to kneel down and kiss his ass and Gomer would have done it.

There's a real lesson to be taken from that (and in some measure, from Jeane Schmidt's actions after that famous 'cut and run' speech she gave some months ago against the same Jack Murtha). As is *always* the case, a bully can *not* stand up to anyone who is even a tiny bit stronger. They fold like a worn road map.

Still and because he did serve he should know enough to keep his mouth shut on these matters.

Sure, the votes against withdrawal from Iraq were politically motivated, but the Dems still fell for it hook, line and sinker.
