Poll question: Should the Dems start pounding home LIE & DIE to counter the

repukes' "CUT AND RUN" campaign slogan?

Kerry suggested the phrase on Imus, and I like it personally.

Every time I turn on the news, I hear "Cut & Run." We need to start heading that off.

1. I do like "Stay and die" better

It feels to me like it responds more directly to the "Cut and run" idea- it sets up and makes use of the available dichotomy.

In other words, it sets up a choice that is somewhat familiar to the public (they see it in movies all the time):

You can "cut and run" (leave), or, you can stay and die (stay and die). LOL

Usually, I'm the one yelling "Get the hell out of there" to the idiot on the screen when the choice comes up.

2. Yea, I see what you're saying but I also like the "lie" because without
would not be in Iraq.

In fact, I'd love a campaign against the GOP focused very, very heavily on lying and corruption.

It's time to start playing rough.

10. I think the big LIE word turns people off (they know it but do not like
to hear the word).

12. Yea, you'd hate to call a liar a liar.
What should we call them, Fibbers?

Untruthers?

John Kerry doesn't seem to mind the word. I certainly don't either.

14. There's nothing wrong with calling them liars,
but it doesn't really apply well to the issue at hand.

No, it doesn't hurt to remind people, but what we're trying to figure out is what we're going to do about this now. That's what the "people" (meaning the corporate media) are asking for from the Dems right now. What the hell are we going to DO about Iraq?

Thus the dichotomy I mentioned above.

5. Stay the course is no plan
Wasn't that what Murtha said on Meet the Press on Sunday? If not eaxct then I am sure that it can be found and used. Talk about a "Man on Fire"!

7. I don't completely agree. The Republicans are like a propaganda machine.
Yesterday, I heard no fewer than half dozen different pukes on CNN use the term, "cut and run," including that little weasel Ken Mehlman who also said "cut and walk." :wtf:

Then on the Daily Show, Stewart was making fun of all of the pukes on the floor using the term: "we have to win on the road, not at home" (or something like that) -- they were all using sports metaphors about how you need a good road record to win a championship talking about the war. :wtf:

We need to start talking as John Kerry did yesterday. He said he was tired of "them lying, and that people will continue dying".....he was blunt and forceful.

He and other dems need to start talking like that all the time...and if people's feelings get hurt, oh well.

Attack Attack Attack. We have to win.

11. The Republicans are on the same page when it comes to strategy and
their talking points.

We can be angry about that, but it helps them and that's the truth.

The democrats are all over the place about the war, and that's what the GOP is jumping on.

8. We also need bumper stickers and buttons and animations on the blogs
that say LIE AND DIE

We need to use that term in our conversations.

I feel we can really get this going, but we all need to help!

13. I prefer STAY AND PAY
If we STAY in Iraq, we PAY with our tax dollars, our soldiers, and our nation's honor and reputation.

We should follow his lead.
