1. John McCain will campaign for Holy Joe in the Fall
GOP will accuse the Dems of being anti-Semites and intolerant of anything but the most extreme views. There will be one Osama video in which he praises Lamont as a fellow traveler. Every Rovian trick under the Sun will be used by the Lieberman campaign. Bibi Netayahu will appear in a photo op with Lieberman (two Losermen of the worst kind!).
2. I hope none of that comes to be, but a lot of it has a

frighteningly plausible ring to it.
And this would be the same John McCain whose presidential ambitions were undercut by the same sort of skullduggery by Rove et al in 2000 in South Carolina....
6. You know, the sad part is that McCain is a sturdy enough guy to
stand on his own two feet. and yet there he is kowtowing to Dubya at every turn for power and pwoer alone.
The talk in the media lately of a McCain-Jeb ticket is downright sickening.
They guy survived being in a damned cage in the jungle for 4 or 5 years and he's afraid of BUSH? I just feel he's wasting the last segment of his life.
It's none of my business of course, but I think John McCain has betrayed himself.
I don't think it's his health. He seems plenty on the ball mentally. I think he's just a putz with a massive ego and a huge sense of entitlement who isn't used to being challenged.
11. Well, that could be it. And that's almost worse for Joe.

I could not tell after the New Hampshire primary if he honestly believed he would surge back to win the nomination or if he knew privately that it was all over and that he wasn't even in the top three choices overall.
