Since the righties equated criticism of the President with "attacking
our troops", thus saying that "Our President = Our Troops",

shouldn't it follow that he be held accountable for all actions of the troops, including the illegal and immoral actions?

I mean, if the Republicans can tie an albatross around Clinton's neck for the actions of ATF agents in Waco ... (and, in one silly case, Ruby Ridge ... honestly, I heard the 700 Club try to pin that one on Clinton!) ...

1. No, see, it's like Time's Arrow
Accountability and responsibility flow in only one direction, always away from Bush. Bush therefore gets all credit for the good things that happen, but none of the blame for the bad things. You have to admit it's a pretty sweet deal, even if it exists only in the overheated imaginations of Bush's backwash supporters. The puzzling thing, though, is why the popular media all seem to have signed on to this delusion.

2. As I recall, wingers were openly critical of Clinton on more than Waco.
No matter what Bill tried to accomplish in peacekeeping, they were openly hostile. By their own standards, when they criticized Clinton, they were not supporting the troops.

Oh, and here's my message to those jingo spoutin wingers:
