Why is Hilary Clinton such a boogy-man to the freepers?
Seriously, why is she such an affront to their existance? Afterall, she is one of the most friendly Democrats out there to big business. She's not exactly a snow-white dove frothing-at-the mouth liberal, at least as far as I'm concerned. Face it, she ain't no Ted Kennedy.

I don't get it.

to them - add to that the popularity of her husband's terms, and I think you have an answer: she represents everything they fought to bring down, or so they have been told by Rushanniteilly.

4. That's one thought that occurred to me...
that the right-wing hatemongers have to have a nemesis, and somehow they decided it would be her, because they didn't have Billy-boy to kick around anymore, in other words, it was just a continuation of the Clinton name-brand?

They've built her up to be some sort of cartoonish monster, it's utterly ridiculous.

prefer their women quiet and in the kitchen.

How dare a woman have strong opinions, courage, conviction!

On edit: to the above posts - the hatefest for her began during the '92 campaign. I think their hatred is more due to being a strong woman than it does her last name.

8. let me rephrase the question the way a freeper might
Why is Hilary Clinton such a boogy-man to the left?

Seriously, why is she such an affront to their existance? Afterall, she is one of the most friendly Democrats out there to socialist causes. She's not exactly a snow-white hawk frothing-at-the mouth moderate, at least as far as I'm concerned. Face it, she ain't no Joe Lieberman.

I don't get it.

9. Because they're afraid of her
They were afraid of Bill, and for good reason. They figured they had a lock on the presidency. Bill not only proved them wrong about that, but he also set standards that's showing up the current and former Republican president as the dismal failures they truly are. Their fear and resentment of Hillary is primarily on account of association with Bill, at least initially.

22. you stumbled in your regression, er, digression
I remember that we all JUST TOTALLY LOVE EVERYTHING THAT HILLARY DOES here at D.U. ...

I remember a guy in a parking lot (early 90s) just totally throwing out the latest bile from Oxyrush that she was sleeping around with everybody in D.C. ... contradicting his assertion that she was a lesbian ... I asked him what proof he had ... he just had his Rush-inspired hatred ...

Oh, and don't forget the ongoing love-fest of Joe Lieberman here ...

15. Its all a set up
They want to swift boat her and anger the Dems so they blindly back her to strike back at the rightists.

But they are smart enough to know that she has a snowball's chance in hell's chance of winning the presidency. And if that freak chance happens, they have a Pro-big business hawk as president, which is almost as good as a rightist anyhow.

They want nothing more than for her to run for President.

18. Do you really think so?
I think that may be part of their fear, is that if she were the nominee, she'd be unbeatable. She'd blow everyone away in raising funds. What can they say or do to her that hasn't already been done? I think once the true Hilary comes out and the moderates in this country realize that she's not the monster she's been made out to be, she will be a very powerful candidate.

She's probably down near the bottom of my list for choices, but I wouldn't go into a deep dark funk if she became President the way I would if we ended up with say, any of the Republicans out there.

The hardest thing for a candidate to do is lower their neg poll #s

We need a southern strategy to win.
