Lincoln Chafee at risk. Whitehouse leading in US SENATE(RI) seat
One more Dem in the Senate if Whitehouse pulls it off.

Challenged by new Democrat Carl Sheeler in the Primary...Whitehouse appears to be safe.

Good news for the Dem Party if Whitehouse is victorious. He is the best Dem with the best odds of winning the Senate Seat from RI

2. Not a very serious DUer in my mind...comes only to ask for help
I have never seen him get involved in threads other than his own.

I had asked him some questions about 4 months ago and never got an answer to date...

Check out his web site, then google his name. Wikipedia has some information leading me to believe Carl is gonna have a rough time..

recent polls suggest he has 8%.....8 PERCENT....

What more can I say?

4. Chafee sings better than most Republicans but he can't deliver the
song, and it's always off-key to progressives on one end and conservatives on the other.

Not enough salt in the taters vs. too much salt in the taters.

What say we pass on the taters altogether and elect a Democrat from that very blue state?

Chafee can go into private practice or something and we'll pick up a seat in the Senate.

5. I don't know much about Whitehouse.
Is he a true progressive? I don't want us to vote Chaffe out and replace him with a guy who votes with the pugs more than he does.

Certainly progressive views. He was a Clinton appointee for U.S. attorney.

I was looking at this race on Rhode Island blogs and most of the seemingly knowledgeable posters think Laffey will win the primary. If Chafee needs a huge percentage of the primary voters to be unaffiliated, close to 50%, that's dead against the normal tendencies for primary voting. Amazing how few people will decide that GOP nomination. It looks like the turnout will be no more than 25,000 to 50,000.

9. Heya Oasis, Aloha from Kaneohe, home of the Luaus...LOL
Looks like Whitehouse gonna win....the polls show real gains and his primary competition carl Sheeler way in the back with 8 %

Sheeler lacks credibility due 3 party changes, bankruptcy, divorce, troubles with State of California(lost his license to do appraisals or something of that nature)...

Whitehouse appears on the road to change one Pub seat to a Dem one...

Need a few more and we got the Senate.
