2. I HATE this commercial
I watch CNN and cannot escape it. They repeat this four five times and I know that no matter what, I will remember this product to NEVER purchase it.

And you have to bring it here?

It's a homeopathic medicine. These do not need FDA approval. These types of 'drugs' are very low dose substances, intended to balance out the body and get rid of whatever they are indicated for.
Interesting theory and has some validity but I don't think so in this case. The whole ad campaign smells of ripoff, taking advantage of the ease in marketing homeopathics.

When applied to the forehead, it is unlikely that any of these ingredients are absorbed into the body. It has been shown that placebo (no drug in a dosage form) gives pain relief in about 50% of patients, so there may been some placebo effect.

Active Ingredients: Potassium Dichromate (6X H.P.U.S. 0.05% - Pain Reliever**), White Bryony (12X H.P.U.S. 0.04% - Pain Reliever**)

10. Absolutely true
You might as well use distilled water. I'd go so far to say that they are not low dose,
but no dose at all. Many of these dilutions surpass Avagadro's number, so there would
be no molecules left of the active ingrediant whatsoever. They rely on the water
retaining "memory" of the chemical. Total ripoff, unless you believe hard enough.

11. Interesting. It is even worse that what I thought
perhaps a counter irritant, like capsacin but it is not even that.

The way they are spending on TV ads, if the product is not super expensive then this means that the ingredients are very very cheap.

12. Distilled water IS cheap
Edited on Fri Jul-28-06 04:15 PM by ginbarn
It's not even a counter irritant. Since the water carries the
"memory" of the molecule of medication, the water is as effective,
if not more, than taking a medication itself. So they say.

on edit: My question is, if that's true, then why aren't we
sipping seawater for our meds? Surely it has trace amounts, or
at least "water memory" of every kind of medicine under the sun.

15. Placebo effect
This is why the commercial has to repeat it so many times, so that once the poor sucker does use it, s/he will believe that the product will help, will release his/her own natural endorphins and... voila, headache is gone.

Hey, in the 70s people spent money on pet rocks..
