Thinking of all of the losses over the past six years...
I'm sitting back and enjoying the moment. The first election night in quite some time that has given me a reason to be happy.

1. I am in total agreement.
We have had precious few reasons to celebrate recently and I relish this one.

2. agree completely
since i turned 18 five years ago, it has been many disappointments, but this is the first time i feel honored to be a democrat that my fellow dems picked an awesome man for the job of US senator. I hope this continues because i am really excited for Nov. :)

7. Yup, yup... the 2000 election was the first one I was old enough...
to vote in. I was starting to think I had cursed the party.

10. Great minds think alike.
I hope DUer who are feeling the joy right now will take some time and think about how much fun it would have been to be in the big room tonight.

Get involved, work work work, and the good times will keep rolling.

6. well...
it was a Democratic primary, so it's technically a win no matter what.

8. Didn't feel that way.
I was a Dean supporter in '04, and if I can count that as one of two losses that year (the other obviously being the general election), then I can count this as a victory. It's not just Democrats, it's Democrats I can be proud of.

11. Guess things don't happen quite as quickly as we'd like...
but they are HAPPENING!

Thanks to you and Americans like you who
VOTE and who work for the common good.

Kudos!
