Joe Lieberman has lost his mind.
So he thinks he can run as an independent.

He believes that the 48% who did vote for him will also vote for him in November. They will not. Most will fall in and back Lamont. Repubs will back their guy. I really don't think he will split the dem vote that much.

He will not get DNC or DSCC money. He will need to fundraise which will be a great indication of how he is doing.

The GOPers that gave to him will now give to the GOP candidate.

No dough for Joe.

And he will not garner any endorsments at least none that matter.

He should take the money he has left and retire. He doesn't have to give it back although he could give it to Lamont's campaign.

I think it is funny that he is talking about division--he is now the divider. Wait--he has always been the divider by siding with the tool in the white house.

He freakin lost. His running as in independent means he has no respect for the voters, no respect for the democratic process, no respect for the Constitution.

Drop the hell out, Joe. Period.

5. But the noncash gifts are already rolling in...

...from the mouths of just about every GOP hack and so-called mainstream political pundit on the air. It's hard not to believe that the post-Connecticut primary election talking points weren't handed out a couple of weeks ago, so rapid has been the response.

2. Joe's a uniter, not a divider - just like his buddy GWB
It should be plain to everyone now: Joe is all about Joe.

3. I personally believe that the RNC will desert the GOP candidate
and back Lieberman. Not in the open, of course. They will pay lip service to the GOP candidate.

4. Joe's hoping to get the republican vote.
and I think one of the indications of that is all the support he's been given by them. Melman, Snow, Rove. I also heard that so far repubs haven't fell in behind the repub primary winner.

8. yeah
these guys are all right. The repug machine is 100% behind Lieberman because it's a chance to deny a "D" a seat in Nov... and could buffer a repug loss in the senate. The rw spinners TODAY were talking about the repug candidates gambling problems, he may drop out of the race. lol...

Basically the 160,000 people who LOVE Lamont already voted for him. There are 1.5 million reg voters in Ct. If 50% (conservative estimte) of the RV vote... that's 750,000 voters... if Lamont wants 45% of the RV he needs to find another 200,000 votes to win.
Indie registered voters make up 44% of Ct residents...

I'll be REALLY pissed if we lose control of the senate by ONE VOTE... a BLUE seat held by Lieberman and he'll probably be bitter with the Dems and caucus with the repugs.
